Rules of Procedure
The Child and Family Services Review Board has developed Rules of Procedure that the Board follows in proceedings before it. The Rules of Procedure are outlined in 6 parts. Click on the appropriate section to view the full text.
- Part I: General Rules
- Part II: A review of a proposed removal of a Crown Ward under section 61 (7.1) of the Child and Family Services Act
- Part III: A review or hearing of a complaint against a children’s aid society under sections 68(5) and 68.1(1) of the Child and Family Services Act
- Part IV: A review of a decision to refuse to place a child for adoption or to remove a child after placement for adoption under section 144(3) of the Child and Family Services Act
- Part V: An appeal of a school board expulsion decision under section 311.7 of the Education Act
- Part VI: Application for an order releasing a child from a secure treatment program under Section 124 (9) of the Child and Family Services Act.
- Part VII: Application for a Review of a Residential Placement under Section 36(1) of the Child and Family Services Act.
These Rules of Procedure were first issued by the Board in December 2006.
The last amendment of these Rules occurred in January 2010.
