The Child and Family Services Review Board is governed by the Child and Family Services Act.  Please click on the appropriate link below to access the legislation and regulations.

Section 36 of the Child and Family Services Act provides the Board with the authority to conduct a review of a child’s residential placement in certain circumstances.

A child or youth who is 12 or older may apply to the Board for a review of where he or she should be placed if his or her placement has been reviewed by what is called a residential placement advisory committee.  The child or youth can apply for the following reasons:

• if the child or youth disagrees with his or her placement; or
• if the recommendations of the RPAC are not being followed.
