Message from the Chair

On behalf of the Custody Review Board, I am pleased to welcome you to our new website.

The Custody Review Board is a tribunal that conducts reviews and hearings on a number of matters affecting young persons who are placed in youth custody facilities or adult maximum security facilities.

As the Board has been conducting reviews for over 20 years, it is time for a website that provides easy access to information about the Custody Review Board’s review and hearing processes.

It is the Board’s hope that this website offers useful and detailed information about all areas of the Board’s work, which will assist Provincial Directors and youth in understanding their rights when a review is requested.
